Living Costs : Prescribed living cost for international students is 10,000$ per year, however this could vary depending on individual lifestyle. This costs covers basic costs like : accommodation, Food and basic Travel within city or campus.
  Accommodation Information
On Campus :

Halls of residence or student hostels
These are usually located on campus or nearby, with single or twin rooms. Bed linen and cleaning are provided. Meals are eaten in a communal dining hall, with special dietary needs catered for Student accommodation is around 100$ - 200$ per week

Homestay or private board
This gets you a room in a suburban house, usually with a garden and lawns. Your host family will help you adjust to life in New Zealand

Renting a house or apartment
Students can rest private apartments or house. You can either stay alone or share the apartment, these range from a two-bedroom apartment to a large house on its own land. Most rental properties are unfurnished, apart from an oven, a laundry, curtains and carpet.

You pay for electricity, gas, phone and water, including connection fees. usually a bond of up to 4 weeks' rent is held by Tenancy Services and refunded when you move out, if the flat is still in good condition.

Temperoray Accomodation / Hotels: You can also choose to initaily stay at Local hotel or Motel close to the campus for temperoroy period, costs of such hotel single occupany vary from 50$- 150$ per night.

Process to Apply

Application - students need to submit their academic and work experience Documents as per Institutes guidelines. If the students meet the guidelines then Institutes issues a Offer Letter’ to the students. application process time frame is different for all institutes however average process time is 2- 4 weeks.Research applications take longer than this to process.

  Visa - Process time for Visa application outcome is 4- 8 weeks for most of the complete applications. Students can be interviewd by the Local embassy for further clarifications on visa file.
